We are excited to welcome you to Balmichael Glamping, before your stay we ask that you take a few moments to read the terms and conditions to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
Bookings made via our online booking system will be confirmed within 24 hours (also check junk mail folder)
A deposit of £150 or 50% of your total cost (whichever is smaller) to be paid at the time of booking.
The balance of payment is due six weeks prior to the start date of your booking. If the holiday is booked within six weeks of the date the full amount is payable upon booking. If the balance is not received by the due date then your holiday will be treated as a cancellation and you will remain liable to pay the balance.
On booking, we need to know how many people will be in your party and we will ask you to state this at the time of booking. If you have any changes to the numbers before you arrive you should advise us.
We do not accept bookings for large single sex groups unless they agree to take the full accommodation for the duration of their stay. Groups under the age of 21 will not be accepted unless by prior agreement. Please be honest about your group composition when you are booking and discuss this with us if you are not sure.
We highly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover all unforeseen cancellations, including ferry disruptions.
CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER:
Cancellation 6 weeks before stay: refund of deposit less £30 administration charge OR change of date (no charge).
Cancellation 2 - 6 weeks before stay: refund less £50 administration charge ONLY if date of stay can be resold. If unsold, 50% of holiday will be refunded. OR Date can be changed, incurring a £30 fee.
Cancellation within 2 weeks of stay: no refund unless stay is resold. If resold, refund minus £80 administration charge will be given.
CANCELLATION BY BALMICHAEL GLAMPING:
In exceptional circumstances out with our control, we reserve the right to cancel a stay. Should this happen, a full refund of any monies paid over will be provided. We do not accept any further liability.
We reserve the right to terminate a booking at any time if the guests have been dishonest about the composition of their party or upon arrival the actions of guests are deemed detrimental to the site or comfort of others through unacceptable behaviour. In such circumstances no refunds will be made and you may incur further charges for any damage caused.
CANCELLATION DUE TO FERRIES:
If ferry cancellations have affected your outward travel plans (including options of using both the Ardrossan - Brodick and Claonaig - Lochranza routes), we understand this is out with the control of both Balmichael Glamping and yourself. You will have the option to reschedule to another available date OR receive a voucher for full monies paid.
We upkeep our accommodation, associated buildings and wider site to a high standard and reserve the right to claim from you the full cost of repairs, replacements or any exceptional cleaning necessitated by a negligent act by any member of your party. Please report and pay for any damage or breakages. All areas should be left in a clean and tidy state upon departure.
All our accommodation, communal barns and outdoor areas are strictly non-smoking (including e-cigarettes) and we reserve the right to terminate your booking and claim from you any costs incurred from additional cleaning where we consider that this condition has been violated.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, or injury to any member of your party or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees during the course of their employment.
Guests using our car parking area do so at their own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
Everyone staying in our accommodation agrees to adhere to the Rules of Balmichael.
